Exam Committee

Introduction

The Examination committee is an apex body of the Institute which is headed by chairman of this committee and shall be facilitated by three sections: Examination, record maintenance and administration. The main function of this committee is to carry out examinations, publish results and award certificates (provided by the University) to the students who pass the final examinations.

Objectives

To conduct Internal and External examination related all work as per the rules and regulations laid down by the university of Mumbai.

Role and Responsibility

  • To conduct the examination smoothly.
  • To issue the notices regarding Examination forms and examination fee to the students.
  • Preparation of the timetable for the External and Internal examination of the college and communicate to the students.
  • Prior to the examination, committee shall prepare seating arrangement for the examination and display it on the concerned notice board.
  • Prepare an overall Supervision Duty Chart and communicate to respective Jr. and Sr. supervisors.
  • The Exam Committee shall ensure that adequate stationery like- answer sheets, charts, graph paper, threads, water jugs etc. are made available.
  • Preparation of result in time and communicate to the students and display it on website.
  • Preparation of mark list and distribution to the students

    1. Approving and finalizing the dates of internal and external examinations.
    2. Appointing members for Paper setters, Jr. & Sr. Supervisors.
    3. Creating guidelines for examiners and students.
    4. Imposing penalties for fraud and malpractices.
    5. Eligibility of students for appearing university examination.
    6. Proper maintenance of examination record.
    7. Submission of exam records to university in scheduled time.
    8. Grievances of students related to examination

    Rules

    Rules Regarding Admission

    The student who wants to take admission in the hostel should apply in the printed form only. Identity size photograph must be affixed on Admission form. Students from Satara city will not be admitted. The annual hostel fee should be paid along with the application form.

    Important Notice:

    The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the hostel. Students in hostels are required to attend theory and practical periods regularly. No teaching class can be attended outside the hostel rules. A student who behaves irregularly and misbehaves as well as disturbs the discipline of the college and hostel will be disciplined. No complaint will be entertained in this regard. The said behavior will be considered as ragging and will be considered an offense under the Ragging Act 1999.

    Regarding stay and leave:

    One cannot leave the hostel without the prior permission of the Rector. A student absent without prior permission will be liable to penalty or cancellation of admission to the hostel. When going to a provincial or local place, you have to register in the relevant register. If you go outside the gate, the entire responsibility will remain with the student. If you are going home for two or more days, you should submit a written application to the Rector after taking the permission of the head of the department of your school or college. Also, if you want extended leave, send the application again. While going on a college trip, you have to submit a letter from the college or subject head regarding the trip. When leaving the room, lock the room and keep the key.

    Rules relating to timing:

    If going out on a day, be present at the hostel before 6:00 PM. It should be noted that the gate will be locked at 6:00 pm and the parents will be informed that the students will not be allowed to enter the hostel if they arrive after this. The gate should be closed every time you leave. Time to talk on the phone with mother and father in the evening. 6.30 to 6.45 will remain. It should be noted that in the evening the meal time in the canteen will be from 6.45 to 7.30 followed by study time.

    Cleaning Instructions:

    Students will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their own room, hostel premises, toilets and dining hall. Every Sunday from one and half hour. Every student has to contribute to clean the area around the class. If the room is found untidy, fine will be charged from everyone in the room. Care should be taken that the atmosphere in the hostel is always pleasant, clean and conducive to study. Clean your room and outside area twice a week. Only put dry waste in the dustbin. Clean your plate regularly. Care should be taken not to waste food, but if any food remains, it should be disposed of in the dustbin in the mess. Conduct : Maintain peace in the room; do not disturb the study of others. Instructions given by Rector or Secretary have to be followed. Treat everyone with playfulness, affection, friendship, treat elders politely. Radios, tape recorders and any other musical instruments are strictly prohibited in the room. Student's daily presence in college, conduct, examination, attendance etc. It will be considered whether to keep them in the hostel or not in the next session. Instructions related to water and electricity should be followed strictly. If there is a complaint regarding it, a written complaint should be submitted to the Rector. Also, the lights in the restroom should be used for work purposes.

    Notice Regarding Relatives:

    Only mother, father, brother, sister will be allowed to visit. The names of the relatives who are likely to come to visit have to be informed in writing to the Rector, other than that no one will be allowed to visit. Parents should meet their children on Wednesdays and Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm only in the guest room, not outside or in the college.

    Internal Arrangement:

    The designated Rector of the hostel will have all the internal supervision powers to see the entire internal arrangements of the hostel. The Rector will control and supervise the students regarding discipline, studies, sports and general behavior as per the policy and orders of the Hostel Committee. All female students of the hostel must attend all the functions of the hostel. No one can be absent from the programs on 15th August, 22nd September, 26th January.

    Accommodation Instructions:

    Only officially admitted female students can stay. Friends and relatives cannot be kept in the hostel. Personal valuables, money, textbooks or any other items are to be taken care of by the students at their own responsibility. Hostel will not be responsible for theft or loss of any item.
