I am delighted to welcome you to Savitribai Phule Shikshan Prasarak Mandals Loknete Gopinathji Munde Arts, Commerce Science College, Mandangad. Popularly known as Loknete Gopinathji Munde Arts, Commerce Science College, established in June 1996, is affiliated to Mumbai University, Mumbai with consistent academic growth. Ambadave, the native place of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, token of knowledge for globe, is just 18 km. away from Mandangad. Unfortunately Mandangad Tahsil was deprived from higher education. Hence Padmshri Karmveer Dada Idate initiated this renowned institution for imparting quality education to all the masses of the society. The institution is spread over 05 acres of lush green land and built up area is 30,000 sq.ft. This college has a good educational legacy as it was accredited B+ grade in 2017 in the 3 ^rd NAAC accreditation cycle and now preparing to face 4 ^th cycle of NAAC and facing shortly. Our college is the recipient ‘The Best College Award by University of Mumbai in rural area for 2019-20.

We offer the education for both training mind and soul of our students. It offers knowledge and wisdom. So we aim to foster global competencies, life skills, scientific temper, technical skills and inculcate moral values among students. We take care to ensure that teaching learning techniques and academic mentoring incorporate the best practices in student satisfaction. At present, the Institute offers programmes from 11th standard to undergraduate. We have 03 traditional B.A., B.Com. B.Sc. Courses.

We believe that learning beyond classroom is equally important as the classroom interaction. Likewise, students are motivated to participate in various co-curricular, extra-curricular activities. To achieve the holistic development of the students from diverse background, the Institute organizes activities such as Avishkar Research Competition and Poster/ Wallpaper presentation. We channelize student force through NSS and Competitive Examination Cell, DLLE, Sports, Cultural departments.

Without teamwork no institution can prosper. Savitribai Phule Shikshan Prasarak Mandals is the name of unity in diversity where all concerned components work united for implanting vision of our founder President Padmshri Karmveer Dada Idate . In order to enlarge the intellectual horizons of students, we have highly motivated and qualified faculty members, 14 Ph.D., 03 recognized Ph.D.

Guides and 08 are NET/SET qualified, who are constantly trying to upgrade their teaching methods. Professional and academic development of teachers is always encouraged. In the year 2019-20, three faculty members have also been awarded research projects from University of Mumbai. During the academic year 2017-18 to 2021-22, 37 quality research papers have been published in UGC approved Care listed journals and book chapters also. Our faculty members participated in Short term courses, Orientation, Refresher and other training programmes. The administrative staff also strives to provide the atmosphere of efficiency and cordiality to the students who are the future force of the nation. I feel proud to express that the college is performing extremely well in all the aspects to ensure academic and human excellence. The College also contributes for the cause of environment balance with the help of regular tree plantation.
